2008

 


Egypt    Chalupa

Egypt & Chalupa went to a great forever home in Waunakee, WI. Their new mommy decided that a pair was best for her. The girls had bonded quite strongly and it is great that they get to stay together. Congrats to you all!



George has found a forever home in Germantown, WI. He also has a new buddy named Bailey. The boys hit it off right away and gruff with eachother. They will enjoy having a friend. Congrats to you!




Tonka found a forever home in Appleton, WI. His new mommy had a chin pass away and was intending on donating her cage and supplies. She saw all of the chinnys that needed homes and decided to adopt one instead of donating all of her chin supplies. It was a hard choice between Lolli and Tonka, but Tonka won in the end.



The family that adopted Lexi & Levi brought a friend with that absolutely had to have Keely. She loved the fact that her current chin Roxie, could have a friend for life. Best wishes to you all.


Lexi    Levi

A West Bend family was looking for a friend for their current chin, Rollie. Levi was the perfect match and cuddled immediately with Rollie. They were fond of Lexi as well and decided that they would get Lexi as a pal for their daughter. They will be back soon to find a friend for Lexi, I am quite sure! 

Two brothers from Minnesota were adopted by a family from Cedarburg, WI. They initially came for a single chin and decided that a pair was the better way to go. They had trouble deciding which chins would be best for them, but ultimately decided on the pair of boys. Congrats to you all and best of Luck. Photos to come soon...


Wild Bill & Herbert found a forever home with a family from Wawautosa, WI. They have relatives that have chinchillas and decided that they wanted a pair for their very own. Congrats Herbert and Wild Bill! We did not take photos of them while they were here. Hopefully their new family will send us some!





Jet found a forever home with a family that lives in Elm Grove, WI. He had been with us for close to 2 years! They decided that they would like to adopt from a rescue once they visited with chins in a pet store. They also figured that a mature chin would be the best way to go as they would know his temperament. Congrats on the forever home Jet!

 

Mia & Kappy found a forever home with a family from Beloit, WI. They have had many different small animals and wanted a pet that would have a bit more longevity. They were interested in chins for a while, but were  never ready for a chin of their own. They now feel ready and wanted a pair as chins live happier and healthier in pairs or more. Mia & Kappy peaked their interest right away! Best of Luck to you all!


Oreo and Mozart found a forever home with first time chin owners. They are now living in West Allis, WI. They are the last boys from their herd. Congrats on the new home! Photos to come soon...




Bambi & Augusta found a loving home in Waukesha, WI. They are friends with the family that adopted Samson, Toby & Chilly and have become addicted to chins from visiting with theirs! Good Luck and Best Wishes!

Barney found a new home in Illinois with a furry guy that needed a friend. He hit it off right away with his new mosaic buddy. Congrats on the great new pal & home!

Ten year old George, our resident "Old Guy", found a forever home in Brookfield, WI. He went to the home of first time chin owners. They liked the fact that George had a bit of personality and talked! He was very mellow and calm with everyone. Best Wishes to you all!


Nicole & Coco went to a home in Mukwonago, WI. The family has had experience with chins as their aunt had a chin. They came to look at a few pairs and Nicole & Coco were their top pick! Best Wishes to you all! They said that they would send photos of the girls in their new custom built cage!


M&M went to a home in Madison, WI. His new friend is Bandit, a standard male that was adopted from Second Chance Chins in Michigan. His new family wanted to find a friend for Bandit and M & M fit in wonderfully. Congrats to you all! They will be sending photos soon!

Bear went to the home of Amethyst and Missy. He is now living in Reeseville, WI. Best wishes to you all!

Peppermint went to a very chin savvy home. A friend of mine that I got my very first chin kits from! She lost her chins to old age and heart murmurs. She has adopted Rock & Stone from us recently and has been waiting for us to get in a pink white! Congrats on the new home in Racine, WI with your new chin buddies! Photos to come soon!

Rhubert found a forever home in Oak Lawn, IL. with a chin named Moo. They hit it off right away and will be best friends forever. We did not get a chance to take a photo of Rhupert, but his new mommy said they will send pictuers so we will update once we get one!




Alex found a forever home in Chicago, Il. He is has a 3 year old brother that he will be able to live his life with. Congrats to you all!



Bailey found a great new home with a chin pal named Roo-Roo from Waukesha, WI. Roo-Roo met a few different chins but seemed to like Bailey the best. Bailey and Roo could almost pass as twins! Except Roo is a bit more rollie pollie! Best wishes to you all!


      
Tourmaline & Amethyst found a forever home in Reeseville, WI. with a young mosiac female named Missy. The three make a great trio! Congrats on the new home!

    Rock sits on Stone & Coco after introductions!


Rock & Stone found a forever home with a couple that has adopted chins from us in the past. They will now be living with Coco, Harley & Osiris. Their new home is in Oak Creek, WI. where they will be loved and spoiled forever, not to mention, they will still get to visit us! Congrats to you boys!



Medley       Symphony


Medley and Symphony found a great home in Middleton, WI. Their new mommy came and viewed all off the pairs we had available. Symphony is normally a squirmy worm, but felt comfortable with her new mommy right away. Medley loves everyone, so it was a pretty easy choice for the adopter to make. She wanted an older pair as she felt that they would have a harder time to find a permanent home. Best Wishes to you all!

  Beauty

Beauty & Belle were adopted by a first time chin owner from Winfield, Illinois. She fell in love with the pair of girls on the web site. Once she came for her visit, her opinion did not change. The pair was comfortable with her and they will have a great forever home! Congrats girls!





Toby and Chilly were adopted by the family that adopted Samsom from us. They decided that I was right and that chins do better in pairs or more. The trio hit it off right away and will be best friends forever. They are all about 3 years old so they will have buddies to live their lives out! Best wishes to you all!






2007




Haku, Cheerio & Bonkers found a forever home with a couple from Green Bay, WI. They both had done research on chins and will make wonderful chin parents! They are very knowledgable on all things related to chins. They came with another pair in mind, but decided that they had room in their house & hearts for the trio of boys. Best wishes to you all!


Pesto 


Auburn

Auburn & Pesto moved to Waukesha, WI. Their new family has adopted other chins from us in the past and had room for a few more. They are now roomies with Nala. They left with Auburn and once they got home, the girls talked Dad into adopting Pesto as well! Best wishes to you all and the herd of chinnys you have!


Chara 

Pebbles 

Pebbles & Chara found a forever home in Chicago, Illinois. Their new mommy lost her furry friend 3 weeks ago of old age and wanted to add a new fuzzy critter to her home.  She wanted a pair of males, but Chara & Pebbles picked her once she got here. Congrats on the new home girls!




Bam Bam moved to a forever home in Milwaukee, Wi.  He has been added to a pair of young males named Deuce & Grumpy. He now has friends to play with and cuddle with. Best Wishes to you all!


Oliver 

Roo 

Oliver and Roo found a forever home with a family from Germantown, Wi. They wanted to find a young pair to share their home with. Oliver & Roo enjoyed their company right off the bat! Congrats on the new home boys!





Triscut found a home with a family from Mc Henry, Illinois. The mother had a chinchilla when she was young and wanted to adopt one for her and her family to love. They were looking for an older female and were torn between Pesto & Triscut, but ultimately decided on Triscut. They may be back for Pesto after they do a little sweet talking to Dad! He will be won over by Triscut and will understand that she needs a friend to stay happy and healthy! Best wishes to you!






Chincy went to a home in Mc Henry, Ill. The family had adopted a pair from us previously, but lost one of the pair to a broken leg that resulted in a bad leg amputation. They brought him back to find a friend and ended leaving with Chincy. Congrats on the forever home Chincy!
 
 
 
Mozart, Cheech & Snowball were adopted by the family that adopted Lisa & Rooney. They had a hard time deciding between the trio and the pair when they orginally visited. They have had Lisa & Rooney for a while now and decided that they had room for the boys as well. Best of Luck in you new home guys!

One of our violet baby boys found a home in Waukesha, WI. He went to the home of Willow, Pocohantos and Frollo, whom were previous residents here. He will be caged with Frollo as Frollo was born 7/23/07. Congrats on the great home and the new brother!
 
 
 
Cherry & Mya went to a forever home in Two Rivers, WI. They are best friends and get to stay together. They went to an experienced chin owner who recently lost his chin. He decided on Mya & Cherry as they are so evenly tempermented. Congrats to the pair of you!
 
 
 

Max was adopted by the couple that adopted Mr. Boston. He currently is residing in Milwaukee, WI. The couple saw Max when he was first born and decided then that they wanted to adopt him. They have renamed Mr. Boston. His new name is Charlie. Its so nice when chins can find friends!
 
 

 
Lisa & Rooney found a forever home in Joliet, IL. Their new family was torn between a trio or a pair and decided that Lisa & Rooney would be the best chins for their family. Congrats on the forever home!
 

    

Jo-jo, Pancake, Twinkie, Sheba & Scooter were all adopted by a family in Genoa City, WI. The family came to find a friend for their current chin named Baby, and left with a WHOLE HERD! They couldn't decide which chins to adopt so they took all of the girls that they were torn over. Congrats to all of you! Baby will not be lonely ever again!
 
 
 

Nubs found a forever home with Toby, a 6 year old male chin, in Stoughton Wi. The couple thought Toby was lonely and needed a friend. Toby & Nubs hit it off right away. Congrats boys!
 
 
 

Lily & Lavender went to a first time chin family. They decided on a pair of chins so that they would not be lonely. Lily & Lavender were the first choice, and the ones that they went with in the end. Best of luck in your new home! They are now residing in Evanston, IL.


 

Cosmo went to the home of a fellow shelter worker in Milwaukee, WI. She fell in love with Cosmo as soon as she saw him. She was looking for a younger chin and found just the right friend in Cosmo. Best wishes to you both!

 

 

Bruce & Steve found a forever home in Burr Ridge, IL. They went to become big brothers to a pair of young chins. They hit it off great and went to a chin savvy home. Congrats on the forever home boys!

 

 

Macaroni & Daisy moved to a forever home with a pair of young chins. They now are residents of Saint Charles, IL. The chinparents purchased a pair of young chins from a local pet store and decided that they wanted to adopt a pair of older females to help the young ones learn the ways of the world. Best wishes to you all!

 

Rambo has found a forever home in Oconomowoc, WI. She not only got the perfect owner in Ian, but she got the perfect room mate as well. Pinky was born just about the same time as Rambo and the 2 girls get along great. Rambo was not here long enough to get a photo of her, but Ian said he would send us a few pictures of the girls together. Congrats!


 

A family of current chin owners from Vinton, Iowa wanted to add a little color to their standard herd. They came for Ebony and Thomas, and decided to adopt Klondike and Cheech as well. Congratulations on the big herd!

 

Mango & Disco met a chinny friend named Annie and will be best buds forever. Mango is 13 years old and I am so happy she found a forever home to live out her days. Their other chin, named Shoo, got along wonderfully with Chewy and make a perfect match. The family is from Oconomowoc, WI. They went from a 2 chin family to a 5 chin one in less then a hour. Congrats on the herd!

 

Mr. Boston went to first time owners in Milwaukee, WI that would give him the special attention that he needs. He requires a lot of a care and with this family that is exactly what he will be getting. Congratulations, Mr. Boston, best of luck.


 


Willow & Pocahontas went to a home in Waukesha, WI. It's so great when friends can stay together in a forever home. The family that adopted them will be coming back to assist with socializing the residents of our rescue. Congrats, girls!


 

This mother and daughter pair found a forever home in New Brighton, MN. The family currently has a 7 year old female and wanted to add to their clan. The new owners saw the pair and fell in love with them. Best of luck in your new home!

 


Gabby found a forever home as a companion chin for Pooh, a former resident here. They hit it off right away and are the same age. Spyder was Pooh's old room mate but he passed away. Pooh seemed a bit lonely with Spyder's passing so the family decided to get Pooh a female friend. Pooh is a neutered male. They now live on the east side of Milwaukee. Congrats Gabby!

 

Zippy & Darcy are a pair of 12 year old chins. They found a forever home with a college student from LaCrosse, WI. She decided on the older pair because she thought it would be harder for them to find a home together. Best Wishes to you all!!

 

Mya has gone to the home of Cherry & her gang in Muskego, WI. The family has become addicted to chins. Cherry has found a best friend in Mya. They are both senior girls and now have buddies to live their lives out with. Congrats girls!


 


Dolce & Gabana have been adopted by their foster home. They got too attached to let them go. Congrats to you boys on the great home. They went to the home of Max, Apollo, Dylan & Spud (the chinnys).

  

Cain and Abel went to a new home in Chicago, IL. Their new family had chins in the past and was excited to add some chins to their family once again. They came with others in mind and left with the brothers. It was a tough decision but the brothers won in the end. Congrats on the forever home!

 

Mocha was adopted by first time guniea pig owners that had read up a lot about them. The family was crazy about her, and are so happy to give this girl a forever home in Madison, WI. Best wishes, Mocha!




Sherman, Snowball & Allister went to the home of Mozart & Cherry in Musekgo, WI. Lolita passed away due to aspiration on a raisin. Mo was sad and needed a friend. He came and stayed with the 3 boys listed above. The family couldn't chose just one so they took all 3 of them. Best of Luck to you all!

 



Lolita and Mozart went to the home of a family who adopted Cherry. They originally came to look at Mo & Lo, but decided on Cherry once they got here. They now have realized that they really do want to take Lo & Mo as well. Congrats on the new home in Muskego, WI you two!



 

Marley went to a new home with an adopter that already adopted a pair of chins from us. He went to the home of Furby, Yuki & Lailee in Racine, WI. They inherited a one year old male named Chip, that needed a cage mate and Marley was perfect. They cuddled right away and will be best friends forever.

 

Kasey and Jezabel went to a new home in St. Louis, MO. The family was in Wisconsin for a different animal rescue event and decided to stop on the way home. They have a current chin at home, named Bianca that recently lost her room mate. They fell in love with the kits right off the bat. Congrats on the new home girls!

 

Cleo and Julius went to a home in Cedar Rapids, Iowa with a family of current chin owners. They saw them on the site months ago and wanted a Black Velvet again badly so they made the trip. Congrats to you both on the new home!

 

Jack went to the home of Furby, Yuki, Lailee, & Marley in Racine, WI. They came to get Marley for a friend to one of their chins, but sadly Chip passed away only a week after being with Marley. When Marley was here, he was caged with Allister and Jack. The family came back to add Jack to their herd, so Marley could have a pal. Congrats Jack on the forever home!

 

Felix and Hosea went to a family that lives in Mc Henry, IL. They absolutely fell in love with the boys upon arrival. They will get plenty of time to watch TV with the girls of the household. Congrats boys you finally get your cartoons back!

 

Doobie & Dudley found a forever home with a family of first time chin owners. The boys will be living in Bristol, WI. with their new family. The sister to the family had chins so the family decided they wanted a pair of their own. Best Wishes to you all!

 

Mercedes went to a home in Madison, WI. where the current chin there needed a buddy. She and Bear hit it off right away and should be best buddies for years to come. Congrats on the great home Mercedes!

 

Cherry went to a first time owner in Muskego, WI. She was interested in an older chin to try out her parenting skills with. Cherry is soon to be 13 this summer and it's great that she found a forever home. Congratulations, Cherry!

 

Noodle and Miles went to a forever home with a couple that recently lost their chin due to medical issues. They know what a long commitment 2 chin kits will be and are ready to take on the challenge. Noodle & Miles will now be living in Madison, WI. with their new family. Congrats on the forever home boys!

 

Spud went to the home of Max and Apollo who were adopted in 2005. Their owners inherited another chin named Dylan, and needed a friend for him. Spud and Dylan hit it off right away and snuggled in their arms. Good luck Spud, you will be missed by Sydney.

 

Candi went to a forever home with a chin named Chilly. They live in Milwaukee, WI. with a student from UWM. Chilly had lived alone for 5 years, but hit it off with Candi right away. Congrats on the forever home Candi!

 

Jasmine is Ms. Personality and found the perfect room mate with just the same temperament. They understood each other right from the beginning. Jasmine & Pica will be living together in Glenview, IL. and will have a great time sleeping and playing with each other. Best wishes to you all!

 

Sushi went to the home Eva, a beautiful young chin that needed a room mate. Eva's mom fell for Sushi right off the bat. Sushi and Eva hit it off right away and now will be living in Wauwatosa, WI. Congrats on finding a great forever home!

 

Edie is a ten year old female that has found a forever home with a first time chin owner in La Crosse, WI. The girl decided she would like to adopt an older chin for her first chin as they tend to be a bit less rambunctious. Edie was the first chin she visited with and was the one to win her over. Best of luck guys!

 

Maggie and Raina found a new forever home. The have been moved up to Hilbert, WI with a great family. The family originally came for a single chin, but wanted to keep the pair together instead. Both girls hit it off with them right away. It is true that the chins pick you and not the other way around! Congrats on the great choice girls! Maggies pics were not in focus. The new owners stated they would send picture of the two of them in their new home.

 

Scooter and Sheba found a forever home in Kimberly, WI. They went to a family of first time chin owners. Sheba & Scooter hit it off with the children right away. Mom soon followed in their footsteps. It great that the two girls can stay together as they bonded and did almost everything together. Best Wishes to you all!

 

Speeder & Sparky found a forever home in Green Bay, WI. The family had a very territorial male that they were having problems with. He is now a resident here. They met Speeder & Sparky and they got along great with their current chin. Congrats on the great big cage guys and the new buddy too!

 

Crystal is a 1 year old female that was not here long enough to take a photo. Her new adopters will send one to add to the success story. She went to a new home with a chin named Willow in West Allis, WI. They hit it off great and groomed each other right away. Congrats on the new family Crystal! I know you will do well!

 

Zeppo and Blitzen went to a home in Lacon, Illinois. The family originally came to just look at the chins as they wanted something in the ebony family. They ended up leaving with a pair of boys instead. The daughters were great with the chins and will be awesome helpers with cleaning and caring for them. Stan and Ollie have been adopted by a family from New Auburn, WI. They recently lost their chin and wanted to add a pair this time. They decided on a pair as chins live happier and healthier lives when caged as a pair. It was a toss up between a few pairs, but the boys won them over. Best of Luck to you all!

 

Sam and Lionel picked their family right off the bat. The family wanted 2 chins but weren't sure which ones. Annie and Lionel hit it off right away and I think Mom fell for Sam because of his ears. Now the boys are off to their new home in Beaver Dam, WI. Congrats boys you found the perfect home!

 

Dusty found a forever home in Ames, Iowa with a college student that cared for chins when she was young. She saw Dusty and fell in love with him! And his personality matches his looks as well! He is just a beautiful chin and has found the perfect doting mother! Congrats to you and best wishes! I would like to thank the people that assisted in his transport as well! He couldn't have found the perfect home without you!

 

Rudolph, Chalupa & Oberon went to a home in Green Bay, WI. They loved all three of them and thought they had room in their home and hearts for all of them. Congrats on the new home guys!

 

Pete and Tiki found a great forever home in Portage, WI. Pete has been renamed Diego. I am not sure what they will call Tiki. The family is first time chin owners and spent alot of time here to pick out just the right friends for them. I think they got a wonderful match! Best of luck to you all!

 

The 2 pairs of boys went to an educational program in Illinois called
the "Animal Road Show". They will be used to teach children about different types of animals. They will learn their needs as a breed and will be able to get up close and personal with the chins. They are the perfect chins for the program! They will have a great life! Congrats boys, you got the perfect forever home!

 



Tangerine went home to a family in West Bend, WI. that was looking for a friend for their current chin named Cheech. Cheech had an accident and had to have a leg amputation. Her owners contacted me regarding a good vet to take Cheech to for her broken wrist. On the way back from the vet Cheech stopped over to visit. The family decided getting her a mate was what they wanted to do. They tried her with a few neutered males before deciding on Tangerine. Congrats Tangerine, you and Cheech make the perfect couple!

 

Twix and Tommy went to the forever home of Thomas listed below. They came back with a different chin in mind to be his partner, and ended up falling for the pair of boys instead. Congrats on the great home guys and good luck with your new family the trio of T's!

 

Spyder has been adopted by the family that adopted Mia, Pooh & Pee Wee. Pooh came from the same previous home as Spyder and now resides on the eastside of Milwaukee. Congrats Spyder I know you are gonna love your new home!

 

Dasher, our little three legged imp, went to a home in Appleton, WI. They were looking for a friend for their 3 month old chin and fell in love with him. The chins got along great right away as they were youngsters. Peanut started to groom him instantly. Congrats Dasher, you found the perfect home!

 

Thomas found a forever home with first time chin owners. They stated that they will be back for a friend for Thomas once the get acclimated with the routine of caring for a chin. They both have been intrigued with chinchillas from the first time they saw them and had done their research well. The best thing about them as they were not afraid to ask question. They wanted to know all they could before committing to taking care of an animal that could live 20 years. Congrats Thomas on the new home and see you soon to pick out your cage mate!

 

Polly & Fin went to a home in Whitefish Bay, WI. They family has had chinchillas in the past before they had children. Now they have 2 children that wanted to add a pair of chins to their family! The looked at all of the chins available and decided that Polly & Fin were the pair they wanted! Congrats on the great new start you two!

 

Jasmine & Willow found a forever home in Marathon, WI. Willow picked them right off the bat and was wonderful with them. Jasmine is just a big love bug and sat on their shoulders the whole visit. Congrats girls on your new home on the farm!

 

Zach went to a forever home in Hartford, WI. His new cage mate is a Mosaic Male named Pico. Pico liked him right off the bat! They make a great pair cause the have the same temperament. Best wishes to you and your new family!

 

2006

 

Pooh went to the home of Mia & Pee Wee. The past adopters were very fond of Pooh when they chose to take Mia & Pee Wee into their home. They decided that adding this guy to their clan was what the wanted to do. Jacob has a soft spot for the rough looking guys. Pooh is missing parts of his ears due to past fighting. He is a great chin and will be happy to get to play with the ladies. Best wishes to you and see ya soon as Jacob frequently comes to assist in cage cleaning and brings his furry friends to play with us!

 

Mozart went to a home in Carol Stream, Illinois with a beautiful Mosaic friend named Tornado. Tornado seemed to take to Mozart right away and was grooming him off the bat. Congrats to you all on the new family!

 

Besty & Ixee went to a forever home today. They came to us from Ohio, and now they are residents of Illinois! Boy you two girls can get around! They went to a first time chin owner that assisted us in bringing a rescue up for the ride as well. Thank you again for bringing Chewy up to us! And best wishes to you all!

 

Ying,Yang & Zen went to a home in Palatine, Illinois. They had a chin that needed a friend. They came up for one and left with a herd! Now Joey will have a bunch of chins to play with! Congrats and best of luck to you all!

 

Chewy went home with a family that adopted a chin from us before. Wicket was lonely and wanted a friend. Chewy and Wicket hit it off right away and will have a happy life together. Congrats Chewy you are a lucky man! Photos to come soon!

 

Meko had been a long time resident here as he needed to go to a home that would except his quirks. He found the perfect place in Michigan with fellow rescuers Sally & Adam. They absolutely adored his independent personality and will give him the attention and care he needs. Great job in winning them over Meko! You couldn't have found a better place!

 

Jose went to a new in Brookfield, WI. with a friend that currently has chins already. She fell in love with the fatso upon his initial placement here in 2003. He since went to another home, but had returned. Rene found out he was back and scooped him up to add to her herd. Congrats Jose you will be very happy in your new home.

 

Yuki & Lailee went to a new home today on their first day here. They are going to live with a neutered male named Furby. They hit it off right off the bat. Furby is definitely not going to be lonely anymore now that he has a harem. They are all going to be living with a family in Racine, WI. Good luck girl and congrats on the new start!

 

Zack & Zoe found a forever home with a family in Dekalb, Illinois. The family has been wanting to get a pair of gliders for many years. They decided that now they are financially stable enough to provide a great home for the young pair. We would like to thank HAWS for the great job they did with neutering Zack. Congrats on the new home guys!

 

Indy and Lilly found a forever home with a family from right here in Pewaukee, WI. One of my daughters goes to school with the family that came to adopt the girls. Indy and Lilly loved her right off the bat! Congrats on finding the perfect family girls!

 

Morgan & Susie found a forever home with a couple from Rome, WI. that had a chin previously which passed away at the age of 14 years old. They originally were coming for a male as they had gotten bad information from someone regarding females spraying urine. Female chins are more prone to the urination spray, but it is not that of a dog or cat. In my experiences it has only been when they are scared, such as when you go into the cage to grab them. They do not run around the house and lift their legs to mark territory like a cat or dog. Anyhow, the came to the rescue with an open mind. They had a few in mind after speaking with me, but ended up deciding to take the older mother & daughter pair. Susie is quite a picky chin, but did fabulously with the couple. Morgan is always a snugly bug and liked them as well right off the bat. Congrats on finding a great forever home you two!

 

Holly & Megan for a new home with a family from Dousman, WI. They have been researching chins for quite a while and think it is time to give some furry friends a great home. They originally came to visit with the chins having other chins in mind. They decided on Holly & Megan more so because of their story then the way the looked. They figured that the other pair they had in mind would be able to find a good home more quickly then Holly & Megan. The family decided that they would like to help Holly & Megan by giving them the stability that the need. Congrats girls you deserve this family!

 

Charlie found a forever home today with a beige chin named Gizmo. Gizmo's mommy thought he was a little lonely and wanted to find a friend for him. Charlie was the first chin that they looked at and Gizmo liked him right from the start. We tried to introduce him to a few others but Gizmo only wanted Charlie. Charlie and Gizmo live in Brookfield, WI. now and are close enough to come for visits! Best of luck to you all.

 

Sean and Starsky found a forever home today with a new friend named Pika. Their new mommy drove all the way from Davenport, Iowa to find Pika a new friend. She definitely will have her hands full with these 3 balls of energy. The boys ran in the wheel together right away without any problems. Congrats on your new home guys.

 

Sassy & Blossom found a forever home today. They are 8 & 9 years old and couldn't have showed up to our shelter at a better time. The family that adopted them has been around chins for a while as their grandmother had her own chinchillas. The family from Germantown, WI. decided that getting a pair for themselves was a good idea. The were only here for 3 days so I did not get to take photos of them, but will post some as soon as I can get someone to send me some. A special Thank You to Sally & Adam for helping to transport them here from Michigan. They are true rescue supporters. Bless You both!

 

Hutch went home with his old cage mate Brian. The lady that adopted Brian got home and her family asked why she didn't get 2 so that they had a friend. She came back from Green Bay, WI. the next weekend to get Hutch. Good Luck in your new home and congrats on getting your buddy back!

 

Benny & Mr. Sniffles went to a new home on Milwaukee's east side. Mr. Sniffles came in this week and made a buddy & found a new home. What a lucky guy. We did not even have time to take a photo of him! Benny was born on site and has a special place in our hearts. Good Luck in your new home guys!

 

Brian went to a home on Green Bay, WI. Her previous chin passed away and she came to look for a new friend. It was a toss up between Pooh & Brian, but Brian ultimately found the new home. Best wishes to you both!

 

Samson found a new home with a family from Waukesha, WI. They eventually would like to add a friend in with Samson. Samson has the perfect temperament for a roommate and liked the family right from the start. Congrats on the home big boy!!

 

Chico found a new home with some first time chin owners. They had a different chin in mind when they got here but Chico picked them. From the minute they walked in the door Chico didn't stop looking at them and talking to them. The husband liked him from the get go and the wife and daughter said, "He grew on me." I think he was the perfect choice for them and seemed trusting of them right off the bat. They said they would said me photos and Anna is going to send us progress reports on Chico. Mia & PeeWee finally found a permanent home. They had been long time residents here as they were with us since 8/2005. We had grow quite attached to them, but we are happy that they have found a new home. Their new family had purchased a chin from a local breeder and it turned out to have quite bad medical problems and recently passed away. They came to us looking for a single chin and decided that the girls were a good match for them.They now live in Milwaukee, WI. Congrats on the new family girls!

 

Burt went to a home with an adopter that had adopter a chin from us prior. The chin that they adopted passed away and they returned for a new furry pal. Burt has a great home where he will be a solo chin and get all the attention.

 

Wicket was adopted by a first time chin owner family. She bonded to the family immediately. She should have a great time with her new family because they wanted a chin they could cuddle with. Wicket is the perfect chinchilla for them. Best wishes to you all!

 

Muffy has found a new home with a woman that used to foster animals for the humane societies. She decided on Muffy because she thought the younger chins would find homes quickly and that a senior chin needed love too. I think she likes Muffy's quirks personally. Good luck to you both!

 

Muppet went home with a new family that needed a pal for their 5 year old male. Muppet got along great with the other chinny right off the bat. They groomed each other and looked as if they enjoyed having company. This family has adopted chins from us in the past and will give Muppet a loving home with a roommate. Thank you to the folks that helped get him here from Second Chance Chins. He now has a permanent home with chin savvy people.

 

Max found a new home with a family looking for a pal for their chinny Keeta. Max was the true meaning of rescue cases. He had been attacked by other chins so badly that he needed his tail amputated and his ears were bitten down very far. Keeta and Max took to eachother right away and should have a long and happy life together. Miss ya already my giant hamster looking pal!

 

Snuggles and Boo found a new home with a family in Beloit, WI. They came to adopt a friend chin for their current chin, whom by the way was sexed a female at the pet store and definitely is a male by my inspection. Chin-Chin went to sleep with Boo in a matter of seconds. Good Luck with your new family guys!

 

 

Salty & Pepper found a new home with a family from Sussex, WI. The family has had experience with chinchillas before.

 

Ohno went home with Sally & Adam from Chincare.com. They assisted with transport of 8 chins from Michigan to our rescue. They saw Ohno and fell in love with him. He will be added to their babies and we will be updated on him frequently. They will make wonderful parents for the little bundle of energy! Congrats Ohno!

 

Buzz was adopted to a new chin owner that wanted a roomy for her male chin. Buzz got along great with her young male and will be the best of friends. Buzz was not here long so we do not have a photo of him, but the new owner will email one for us to add. Good Luck to you all!

Gypsy went to a new home with the family that adopted Thunder from us way back in 2004. Her and Thunder did great in the introduction process right off the bat. Hopefully all goes well. Good Luck with your new friends Gypsy!

 

Scooter and Jose went to a new home in Sussex, WI. The family chinchilla passed away and they wanted to add a new furry to their home. The came and met Jose and Scooter and took them both in. It is great when friends can stay together. Best wishes in your new home!

 

 

Kadence & Thistle went to a new home in Illinois.Their new family recently lost their family chin and was looking for a new playmate. They originally came for Kadence but left with both. Good Luck with your new family girls!

 

Clyde went to a home new. We were not sure that we wanted to part with him, but another breeder in Milwaukee wanted him. He is so beautiful and has a wonderful temperment that we decided it would be best to have him become a breeder. The funny thing is, the female chin needing a mate is named Bonnie. She is a 2 year old TOV White. They got along right off the bat and will make beautiful little kits! Good Luck and we get the first baby!


Handsome went to a new home with someone whom adopted a chin from us previously, but the chin passed away. She wanted Handy the first time she was here, but went with a different chin. Now Handy and her are together and will be happy for a loooong time. Best wishes!

 

Lexus went home with a woman who is a first time chin owner. She was looking for someone to pal around with and thought Lexus would make a good room mate. Now she will have company for the holidays and many more days to come after that! Congrats on finding a permanent home Lexus!

 

Duncan is a 8 1/2 year old male that found a forever home with a lady from the Madison area. Congrats Duncan on your new home!

 

Chevy went to a new home in Eagle, WI. His new owner is Jared and this will be his first time owning a chin. His teacher has a chinchilla in class and Jared decided he would like to have his own to care for. He really liked Chevy because chevy sat on his shoulder for the entire hour they visited. Diamond went home to a family with one other chin that needed a friend. I am sure she will have a great time with her new family. She is a very picky chin and took to her new mom right away! Best of luck to you all!

 

 

Storm & Curly went to a new home with the family that adopted chins from us about a year ago. They adopted Chi- Chi, Taco & Jewels. They thought that they had room for a few more chins. They are up to a 7 chin home now! They will have a great time with their new family.

 

Aphrodite went home with the family that adopted Ruby & Deeds. They felt they had enough love and room for another chin. Shhh... I think they may be back for more!

 

 

Max & Larry went to the home of the little "Charmed ones". The new owners brought us the 4 baby girls after their mother passed away for care for us. They needed a new pal for their current chin Adonis since his mate passed and they didn't want to mate chins anymore so they looked for a boy. They couldn't decide between the 2 so they got them both.

 

Foxy was here for only 15 days so we were unable to take her photo. Her new family will hopefully send us a picture of her at her new home. Foxy was adopted by a boy named Austin that had just had a birthday. For his birthday gift list he asked for all chinchilla items. He saved his money to adopt a chin from us and I think he found the right one for him. Good Luck with your new family Foxy. They have all read up on chins to prepare for you.

 

The three boys were adopted by a family from Shorewood, WI. They have been studying information on chinchillas and decided that a few older chins would be better for them. They came for 2 other chins, and when they got here, left with all 3 of the boys. As you all know I like it when friends can stay together. It was wonderful that they took them all despite only wanting 2. They will be sending us photos that I will include once I receive them. Best of luck to you all.

 

Adam & Moose went to a new home in Chippewa Falls, WI. Moose was one of our first rescues and had been here for quite a while. We are very happy you have found a permanent loving home Moose. Summer & Ruthie went to a home in Delafield, WI. The family recently lost their chin and wanted to add a new friend to the family. They came to look for an addition, but left with the both of them. Juan was adopted today by a family whom has owned chins before. Juan was one of our more choosy chins, but was very comfortable with his new family right away. Farewell Juan, we will miss you!

 

 

Ruby & Deeds have gone to a new home. Their new family took to them right away. They now live with a wonderful family who have children to give them lots of attention. Ruby was one of our first rescues. It was hard to see her go, but we know that she is going to have a great new life. Take care guys...Best wishes!

 

 

Bandit, Flower & Hope went to a family in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. They are already chin owners and wanted to help out Hope and give her a loving family. They also wanted Bandit as a friend for their current chin. Hope had grown attached to Flower, so they scooped up Flower too so the girls could be room mates forever. Charlie, the guenia pig went home with a college student who goes to OSU. Charlie's new owner works at a hair salon so perhaps they could have fun with his beautiful long locks! Good Luck on the college dorm life Charlie...You'll get all the chicks!

 

Theo was adopted today by a nine year old boy whom saved up his money to purchase a chinchilla. He has chinchillas in his classroom and wanted one of his own. Once he met Theo, Theo fell in love with him right away. Theo enjoyed cuddling with him on his visit here and will be very happy in his new home. Take care Theo. We will miss you, but know you have found the perfect home.

 

 

Survivor went to a new family today. A 9 year old boy decided that he would like to care for Survivor after seeing him run in the roundabout ball. Survivor has made a tremendous recovery here and has found a wonderful home to continue to give him the love that he needs! Good luck with your new family. You will be missed

 

Chi-Chi, Taco & Jewels left with a new family today. They will be a wonderful addition to the chin savy home. They are the perfect family to deal with the every so spunky Taco, whom happens to share a birth date with her new mom/grandma, since Chi-Chi is Taco's mother already... It is great that Chi-Chi will be staying with Taco. I enjoy keeping the chin families together. And Jewels will fit in beautifully with them or Glory, whom is the chin that they already care for.

 

Cleo & Roxie went home with a family whom will be great with them. Roxie picked them right off of the bat and they decided that they had room for her mom Cleo as well. I am grateful that they decided to keep the family together! Hopefully things will work out well with their existing chin, Chi-Chi. Its not our Chi-Chi, but another one go figure. Good Luck with your new family girls...We hope your happy!

 

 

Squirt was adopted by a couple that needed a companion chin for their "Chinzilla". They brought Chinzilla along to meet a new playmate and found the perfect one. Best wishes to you and your new family. We spent alot of hours feeding and caring for you and will miss you!

Smokey, Cranberry & Ziggy have been adopted to a family from Indiana. I would like to thank them for the 10 hour drive from Indiana to help a few of our furry friends. Ziggy had been here since August. Smokey since birth in July and Cranberry just arrived November 23rd.They are all wonderful chins. Best of luck to you. Hope things go well. We will miss you all, but I had a special bond with Smokey and will miss him terribly!

 

Meatball and Pasta have been put on hold and will be adopted by a wonderful couple who own degus. Chinchillas are the cousins of degus more or less so they decided to share their home with a pair of chinchillas as well. Pasta & Meatball will be missed! It took us all here to make sure Meatball got threw his amputation with no problems and are happy to see the two little brothers get to stay together as well! Good Luck on your new start guys!

 

Satan has found a new home with another chin named Snuggles. Satan we now be living in Illinois with her new family. We are glad you have a buddy Satan and hope all goes well. Her new family is already chin savvy and Snuggles is also a chatter box! Perfect pairing!

 

Salty & Pepper are going to a new home. Their new parents could not have any other type of pet due to allergies so they turned to us for assistance. We paired them up with the perfect pair for them! Hope you all have a wonderful life together guys! Sammy misses you already Pepper!

 

Whiskers has found a new home with a very sweet family that will love her a long time. She will be the one chin and get all of their attention! Whiskers will love that! She bonded right away with her new mommy.

Sugar's family came back for another...
Spice was taken home by the same family that adopted Sugar. They had room in their hearts for another and decided to take Spice, Sugar's sister. I'm glad that they are back together again. You guys have got quite the handful in those two little girls!

 

Our sweet little Sugar has gotten herself a new home in Illinois. She has a wonderful new family that will give her lots of love and affection!

April & May had a short stay with us. They went to a very special family who recently lost their chin. They were only here for 16 days so we do not have a picture to post with this. The new family has agreed to send us photos. Happy Birthday Christopher! Hope you like your present!

 

Thunder has found a great new home with 2 other Chins in the Milwaukee area. Her new mommy fell for her at first site. She will have a wonderful time in her new home! Congratulations Thunder!!!
